Bradley "Scott" Weichelt
In Loving Memory of Bradley “Scott” Weichelt

Scott, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024 at the age of 64. Known for his love, infectious laughter, and caring heart this absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Born on January 29, 1960 in Missouri. Scott embraced a life filled with laugher and joy. He cherished his family above all, finding great delight in spending time with them, sharing stories, and creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Fishing was one of Scott’s greatest loves. The serenity of the water, the excitement of a catch, and the quiet moments of reflection brought him immense peace and joy. He shared this passion with his children and grandchildren, teaching them patience, perseverance, and an appreciation for the beauty of God's creation.

Scott was also known for his wonderful sense of humor. His jokes and laughter could light up a room, bringing smiles to faces and lifting spirits wherever he went. His ability to find humor in everyday moments was a gift that he shared generously, leaving a legacy of joy and fond memories.

Scott gave his life to God, firmly believing that when he passed, he would be with Jesus and reunited with his beloved Kevin and Vickie. This deep faith provided him with strength and comfort. As Scott took his last breaths, his daughter-in-law read Psalms and prayed over him. He entered those heavenly gates in peace, leaving behind the suffering, and now resides in eternity. It brings us great comfort to know that we will see him again one day and that he is exactly where he wanted to spend eternity.

Scott is survived by his son Travis Weichelt (Crystal), his brother Mick Weichelt (Barbara) of Arizona, Grandchildren Michaela Ciechowski, Savannah Weichelt, Jaxson Weichelt, Bryson Ludwig, Callie Ludwig, Great Grandchildren Harper and Blakley, and many dear friends and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Helen Weichelt, brother Gary Weichelt, son Kevin Weichelt, and the love of his life Vickie Weichelt.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be held on June at 19th at 6:30pm at Travis and Crystals home 1152 Walker rd Sanford NC 27332. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering the good times that we had and the love that we cherished with Scott.

Immediate Burial

$2497.50

An immediate burial has the same end result as a traditional burial; however, we have eliminated the extra (sometimes unnecessary) services prior to getting to the cemetery. Not everyone wants an open casket for viewing or a limousine for the family. Despite the term immediate, we can move as fast as you need or as slow as you like. This option simply allows you to save money by eliminating some of the fancy extras at the funeral home.

icon
Traditional Funeral

$6081.48

We offer the same traditional funeral services as the big corporately owned funeral homes in the area; however, we cost about half the amount. You might consider a traditional funeral service if your family is looking for an open casket visitation, a traditional church service or a funeral service in the funeral home's chapel. A traditional funeral service can be altered to fit the needs of your family.

Green Burial

$3033.75

This establishment is one of a select number of funeral homes who meet the criteria for providing green funeral service by the Green Burial Council; a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization working to encourage environmentally sustainability in the field of funeral service. Our Green options allow for a funeral to take place without the use of toxic and non-biodegradable materials/chemicals.

Aquamation

$2640.59

As an alternative to traditional cremation, City of Oaks Funeral Home also offers Aquamation. The Aquamation process, often referred to as alkaline hydrolysis, uses a solution of water and potassium hydroxide to facilitate natural decomposition.
