City of Oaks Funeral Home is a wise choice for families that desire to honor their loved one with time-honored traditions. Our licensed Funeral Directors help families make sensible decisions while planning for a traditional burial service. We are family owned and operated and we take great pride in being able to provide our services to families for a fair and reasonable cost.
When calling another funeral home to compare cost, it is important to ask how much the total invoice will be after they add in the cost of the alternative container (required by the crematory), Certified Death Certificates, an urn and the NC Sales Tax.
The traditional funeral service includes:
- Overhead, funeral director, and staff
- Removal at time of death (from within North Carolina)
- Funeral Service
- Choice of casket from General Price List
- Choice of vault from our OBC Price List
- Three certified death certificates
- NC sales tax
Our traditional burial service includes all of the items mentioned above. You should consider the charges from the funeral home a portion of your total funeral bill. You will incur additional charges from the cemetery.
We assist families throughout North Carolina and do NOT charge an additional mileage fee.
Just like all other licensed funeral homes in North Carolina, City of Oaks Cremation, LLC is regulated by the NC Board of Funeral Service.
The same laws that apply to the big corporate funeral homes also apply to the modest independently owned firms like ours. All crematories in North Carolina, regardless of who owns them, are inspected annually by the state and must adhere to the same rules and laws.
We're committed to providing families within our community unsurpassed service before, during and after the time of loss.
Our staff will provide clear communication to your family through each step as we move forward from the original phone call notifying us of a death to the time we deliver the urn back to your family. We will treat your family with the utmost respect, as we honor the wishes of your loved one.
We promise to make this process affordable and as endurable as possible.
